YouTuber Mat Armstrong spent a significant amount of time and money rebuilding a Bentley Continental GT.

Unfortunately for him, things didn’t really work out that well.

Armstrong had to find out the hard way when he took his car to Bentley for a ‘proper’ service.

And the verdict was shocking.

This Bentley had 100+ problems, one of which is quite curious

Armstrong bought a first-gen Bentley Continental GT for a pittance, and then decided to bring it back to life.

The problem is that even after spending a lot of money on it, the car still didn’t work properly, which is why Mat decided to take it to Bentley for a service.

The list of things that were wrong, as he explained in his video, was longer than the novel War & Peace.

Bentley discovered at least 100 issues with the car, and there was one in particular that had the automaker worried.

The biggest problem was the cracked engine mount, which caused the entire W12 motor to tilt to the side.

It doesn’t sound like a huge problem but it is, because it can affect the car’s alignment, and therefore the car’s safety.

Mat didn’t provide an exact total cost for the repairs, but it wasn’t cheap.

And it didn’t matter to him anyway, apparently.

He was determined to have it fixed at all costs, and then drive it to Monaco, which he eventually did.

How a soccer player indirectly boosted Armstrong’s career

Mat Armstrong’s channel was growing quite nicely, at a steady space, until he featured Marcus Rashford’s Rolls-Royce.

He bought Rashford’s Rolls-Royce for $240,000+ and then spent around $183,000 to fix it.

Rashford had originally bought the car for around $800,000, so this means that Armstrong essentially got the at around half the price.

He documented the ordeal with several videos, and most of those videos went viral.

His channel absolutely exploded at that point.

So kudos to him.
