McLaren is building a new Artura and a new 750S to celebrate the MCL38, the F1 car that won the F1 Constructors’ title in 2024.

The livery draws its inspiration from the F1 car driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and there are a few nice touches on top of that.

Each car is limited to nine units, and each is signed by both drivers.

McLaren calls them the MCL38 Celebration Edition models.

Why winning the title was a huge deal for McLaren

In 2024, McLaren won their ninth F1 Constructors’ Championship, and their first since 1998.

They won with 666 points in total, 374 from Lando Norris and 292 scored by Oscar Piastri.

It was quite a big deal for McLaren, especially when you consider the last decade or so has been dominated by Mercedes and Red Bull.

These two cars are designed to honor this particular achievement.

Both the Artura and the 750S feature an ‘MCL38’ dedication plaque on each car, and a piece of carbon fiber bodywork from the actual 2024 MCL38 Formula 1 car.

The bespoke livery was created of MSO, the company’s in-house coachbuilder, combining Papaya Orange and Anthracite.

No changes were made to the engines, so the Artura (below) still uses the same 671-horsepower 3.0-liter hybrid V6 as the ‘standard’ model, while the 750S (above) uses a 4.0-liter V8 putting out 741 horsepower.

Production is limited to 18 units only, nine for each model, but the price hasn’t been revealed yet.

What we can expect from the 2025 season

In 2025, all eyes will be on Ferrari.

Not just because the Italian Scuderia is under pressure to deliver after nearly 20 years without a major title, but mostly because of Lewis Hamilton.

The 40-year-old star will be earning an enormous amount of cash to drive alongside Charles Leclerc for the Cavallino.

Despite being 40 and having nothing to prove in the sport, everyone will still be expecting huge things from him.

Partly because of his resume, but also because Hamilton is by far the most influential star in Formula 1.

Here’s an interesting piece of trivia – Lewis Hamilton’s first Instagram picture as a Ferrari driver was the most liked social media post in the history of motorsport.
