This guy took his McLaren P1 to the Isle of Man, a little-known island off the coast of the UK.
A lot of people might not be familiar with this tiny island but those who are, generally know it for two things.
The first one is the Tourist Trophy, a motorcycle racing event.
The second one is the fact there are no speed limits.

The reason this YouTuber wanted to drive his McLaren P1 on the island
The Isle of Man is located in the Irish Sea, pretty much halfway between Ireland and Great Britain.
It’s quite small, roughly half the size of Los Angeles, California, and it’s one of only two places in the world where you can legally drive without paying much attention to the speedometer.
That’s because the Isle of Man has no national speed limit.

To be clear, careless and dangerous driving laws still apply, and there are local speed limits in place.
But, broadly speaking, it’s a place where you can drive your car as fast as it can go.
And in a McLaren P1, that’s plenty fast, considering its top speed is 217MPH (350KMH).
Mark McCann, a YouTuber and car collector, decided to test his $1.6 million McLaren P1 on the island.
Even though he could drive it any speed, he decided to keep things more or less civilized, driving at ‘just’ around 140MPH.
The other place with no speed limit
The other place where you can drive your car to its top speed is Germany.
More than half of the total length of the German highway network has no speed limit at all.
Through the years, both manufacturers and private collectors have taken advantage of this unique feature.

Driving at 200MPH or more on the Autobahn in your supercar and recording it is frowned upon, but technically not illegal.
In reality, having no speed limit doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone will be doing 200MPH all the time, but it does mean that the average speed on the Autobahn is definitely higher than 60 or 70MPH.
