A McLaren Senna owner learned a harsh lesson driving his supercar around Scotland – that bumpy roads are not your friend.

While driving around in Edinburgh, Scotland, the driver bottomed out.

The scraping sound is painful to listen to.

And it’ll probably cost the driver a fortune.

To be fair, there’s not a lot the driver could’ve done to prevent this

A McLaren Senna was filmed driving around in the city center of Edinburgh, Scotland.

As you can see from the clip uploaded to TikTok by amgcentral63, things didn’t really go well.

It’s always nice to see a super rare hypercar driving around town, but it’s probably a little less nice to hear the sound it made when the driver bottomed out and potentially damaged the underbody.

The Senna had an official retail value of around $1 million.

But it can be worth a lot more than that now, so even some minor scratches can cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair because everything about it is super expensive.

In the driver’s defense, the Senna is quite low to the ground even when it’s not in track mode, so maybe there wasn’t a lot the driver could’ve done differently.

It’s probably just not an ideal car for a busy city.

About the McLaren Senna

The McLaren Senna was unveiled in late 2017 as the third addition in what McLaren calls the ‘Ultimate Series’, along with the F1 and the P1.

Even though it’s street-legal, it was designed primarily for the track, and it kind of shows.

The engine is a 4.0-liter V8 with 789hp, and it only weighs 1,374kg.

Around 500 units were built, along with 10 Senna XP models, which were basically prototypes designed ahead of production.
