A US mechanic of 56 years, Scotty Kilmer, has got his hands on a Tesla Cybertruck EV and said that it ‘scared’ him.
Mechanic Kilmer has millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel, and he posted his video on the Cybertruck just under a year ago.
The Cybertruck has been a polarizing and controversial vehicle, and Kilmer openly admits he wouldn’t pay the full price to get his hands on the truck.
His video offers an interesting take on the Tesla EV, as he explained why it scared him so much.

Kilmer described the EV as the ‘most ridiculous’ thing he has ever seen. Also, it looks as if Homer Simpson designed it.
In addition, he wasn’t happy that it looked nothing like a conventional truck.
Something that Tesla is well known for is its large panel gaps and poor quality control.
This is something Kilmer mentions, as he points out quite a few gaps in the panels of the EV.
The weight was another area discussed, as Kilmer pointed out that the batteries weigh nearly as much as his Toyota Matrix.
He was also surprised that the underbody was sealed up. If something goes wrong, it’ll be tricky to fix any problems.
But it’s the speed and power that scare Kilmer when it comes to the Cybertruck.
At top speed, it can reach 113MPH, and thanks to its weight, Kilmer says it’s good that the 6,600LBS truck goes no faster.
He was, though, impressed with parts of the interior.
The seats, he said, were very comfortable, and he found the camera technology worked very well.
He described the truck as ‘wicked fast,’ but he also said that driving it was ‘like a rollercoaster.’

The mechanic also believes the truck is too fast for its own good, and was happy that its top speed is limited.
This video is a perfect showcase of how divisive the Cybertruck can be.
It’s a unique-looking vehicle, with some very cool features, such as the infotainment software.
Like lots of Tesla drivers, Kilmer was impressed by some aspects of it, but equally, he was confused by others.
We don’t think the Tesla Cybertruck will stop dividing opinions anytime soon.
