This mechanic in Rhode Island has given his verdict on the Tesla Cybertruck, and he didn’t mince his words at all.
Branding the EV a ‘cyber-disaster’, Scotty Kilmer laid waste to the truck in his brutally honest review.
Think you’ve seen someone go scorched earth on a car before?
You haven’t seen nothing yet.
Here’s what this mechanic had to say about the Tesla Cybertruck
The review wasn’t all negative – Kilmer acknowledged that it had impressive acceleration and advanced camera technology.
But other than that, it was a whole sleuth of negatives from this mechanic.
First, he took aim at the build quality and the design.

Likening the truck to a ‘giant garbage bin’, Kilmer noted that the stainless steel body panels were already showing signs of staining.
“Bunch of these pieces are just glued on and they have a tendency of falling off when you’re going down the road… It’s kind of like a kid’s model,” Kilmer said.
“This thing is a year and a half old and it rattles. When you turn the steering wheels, it creaks. I mean, it’s not a very well-built vehicle to say the least.”
A kid’s model wouldn’t be the last unflattering comparison he would draw either.
He described the Cybertruck as the ‘opposite of Doctor Who’s TARDIS’, because it was smaller on the inside that it looked.

But how about the truck’s performance out on the read?
Well, Kilmer wasn’t a fan – describing the estimated range as ‘horse manure’ isn’t exactly what you’d call a rave review.
“It’s supposed to be a truck. If you tow and you can go 70 miles on a highway at highway speeds, it’s a joke,” Kilmer continued.
“Not only does it look like a joke, but it drives like a joke, too.”
Ouch…put some ice on the Cybertruck, because it’s been well and truly roasted.
Kilmer reckoned that the Cybertruck would rank very low among the cars he’s reviewed on his channel.
“There is one of the worst all-around vehicles ever manufactured. There just is no point of it,” he told Supercar Blondie.
“It’s like something Homer Simpson would have imagined that he would look cool in.”
If you know anything about the kind of car Homer would design, you know that’s not a compliment.
There’s no escaping it – this is one polarizing vehicle
The Tesla Cybertruck certainly has its fans, as demonstrated by one man who’d racked up 13,000 miles in 14 months.
But it also has its fair share of critics too.
And many owners are all too aware of that.
One Canadian woman was convinced she’d found a way to win over the most ardent of critics.
For a man down in Utah, he wanted to figure why so many people seemed to dislike the truck, so he decided to conduct some tests to find an answer.
Whether one has a positive or a negative opinion of the Cybertruck, there’s one thing we can all agree on – it gets people talking.
