Nearly six years after the original prototype was unveiled, the first road-ready Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar has been delivered to its lucky owner.
Mercedes-AMG certainly took its sweet time on this one, but it was worth the wait.

There are a couple of things that stand out about the first customer Mercedes-AMG ONE.
Firstly, the car looks a lot like the AMG Petronas F1 car that won the F1 Championship in 2020.
It’s wearing the same black-on-black color scheme, with the same Petronas Blue accents and star-shaped decorations on the rear section.

Also, we couldn’t help but notice the customized German number plate.
So we now know that the first AMG ONE was delivered on home turf.
Some speculate this AMG ONE may actually belong to former F1 Champion Nico Rosberg.
Rosberg shared a YouTube vlog about customizing his AMG ONE, and black was one of the options he was considering for the exterior.
The AMG ONE is one of the most anticipated Mercedes supercars ever.
First teased at the 2017 International Motor Show, it then entered what Hollywood scriptwriters would describe as ‘development hell’ and took nearly six years to complete.
Just like everything else under the sun, the AMG ONE was postponed during (and because of) the pandemic, and the final production model was only unveiled last summer.
Production is limited to 275 units, all of which have already been sold despite the $2.7 million asking price.
Several high-profile customers bought one.
Former F1 driver David Coulthard purchased one; Lewis Hamilton actually bought two.
The list of prominent AMG One owners also includes actor Mark Wahlberg and real estate mogul-turned-influencer Manny Khoshbin.
About the Mercedes-AMG ONE
Mercedes-AMG unveiled the ONE as a ‘Formula One car for the road’.
The powertrain combines a 1.6-liter V6 and four (!) electric motors, and each of these motors serves a specific purpose.
Thanks to this ultra-sophisticated drivetrain, the ONE is capable of delivering 1,049 hp, giving it a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds.
The top speed is 352 km/h (219 mph).
