Mercedes went the extra nautical mile and decided to unveil a new luxury superyacht under the Maybach brand.
We’ve seen Mercedes-branded cars, trucks, watches, and even speedboats, but this is the first proper yacht.
And it’s massive.
But there’s a question would-be buyers will certainly be asking.

There’s only one question about the new Maybach yacht
Maybach just unveiled its first-ever superyacht concept, a 155‑meter (508 feet) giant called ‘Beyond Horizons’.
The company has also announced a new members’ club called Maybach Ocean Club, which is interesting because it sounds like Beyond Horizons might be their first superyacht but not the last.
The new yacht offers up to 50,000 square feet of space, with six decks, a helipad, and enough space aboard for up to 72 guests.

Mercedes hasn’t revealed much about it, to be frank, including a potential ETA.
This is just a concept yacht, and it’s not super clear when it’ll actually be built.
The potential price tag is also unclear.
But a yacht of this size generally goes for at least eight figures and, in some cases, nine figures.
The reason why automakers are now building things that aren’t cars

Luxury automakers are now expanding their horizons because they’ve clearly realized it might make sense to create other things their ideal customer would want to buy.
This explains why so many – from Porsche to Pagani and even Bentley – are building penthouses and buildings.
And also why Mercedes, in this case, has decided to unveil a superyacht.

This is also the reason why Rolls-Royce no longer attends car shows.
Instead, the British manufacturer is now using yacht shows and air shows to showcase their cars.
And why not? After all, the ‘average’ Rolls-Royce buyer can generally afford both a yacht and a private jet.
