DJ Khaled is used to indulging in the finer things in life.
The New Orleans, Louisiana native regularly flaunts his celebrity lifestyle on social media.
From speedboats to Rolls-Royce cars, there’s very little in the way of luxury items that Khaled doesn’t have.
But now he’s been given a gift that even he can’t buy.

Michael Jordan gifts DJ Khaled original Jordans
At the end of January, Khaled uploaded a video to Instagram.
Unlike other videos, this was a video of a crate with the ‘Jumpman’ logo on it; the symbol synonymous with Michael Jordan.
The crate came with a padlock on it, much to Khaled’s confusion.
And he wasn’t given a passcode to unlock the box either.
When Khaled texted Jordan asking for it, he said ‘Khaled you should know the code already. It’s 1985. Let me get back to golfing’.
For those that don’t know, 1985 is very important to the Jordan brand – it was the year that he won Rookie of the Year in the NBA.
What makes these shoes extra special though?
According to Jordan, there are ‘only 23 with the special packaging’.
“Keep it safe. Me and you the first ones to get em,” he told Khaled.
Truly high praise coming from the legend himself.

There’s more than just hype behind Michael Jordan’s legendary footwear – Jordans were truly ground breaking.
In 1984, Michael Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the NBA draft.
Jordan entered the league as one of the most talked-about college players in the history of the game.
Nike recognised this fact, and, in his rookie season in 1984, Nike released the “Air Jordan”, a shoe exclusively built around the young star.
The No. 23 of the Chicago Bulls quickly became one of the best players in the league.
In doing so, Nike became the brand to have, overtaking Adidas and Converse.
The Air Jordan brand has since grown into a multi-billion dollar business.
What makes the shoes Khaled received so special is the shoes are an exact replica of the first-ever “Air Jordan” shoes; black, white and red.
In fact, Jordan sent a card along with the shoes that says: ‘All the OG specs; no extras’.
At the end of the day, it must take being truly unique to be gifted one of the 23 original pairs of Jordans by the man himself.
