Chances are you’ve never seen the Boeing 737 from this angle.

A new video shows just what’s inside this classic plane, beyond the comfortable cabin and luggage storage.

This rare footage captures the inside of the Boeing’s wheel well.

And looking at the mess of wires is enough to put anyone off flying for good.

It’s not every day you get to see the actual inside of a plane.

The Boeing 737 is one of the most widely-recognized planes in the world.

But you’d be forgiven for not recognizing it from this point of view.

A Redditor posted close-up footage of the plane’s wheel well, where its landing gear is housed and protected.

What really goes on inside a Boeing 737?

Both the interior and exterior of a Boeing 737 are sleek, stylish, and clean.

After all, there’s a reason why not one but two people have converted this particular plane into AirBnbs: one is a private villa in Bali and the other features a hot tub made out of the jet engine.

Even its cockpit is surprisingly elegant, featuring an unbelievable number of screens, knobs and buttons.

But a rare glimpse at its underbelly shows the mechanics of this plane are anything but sleek.

The wheel well is a crucial component of the aircraft, containing various mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.

This is where the landing gear is operated, monitored, maintained, and more.

The function of this section of the Boeing

This area is not just for housing landing gear but is where several other crucial elements are found.

“Some of the things located here include a spoiler mixer unit, hydraulic reservoir, flap motors, many many components of the hydraulic system in general, filters, and much more,” one commenter said.

The spoiler mixer unit is used to control the aircraft’s lift and drag while the hydraulic reservoir is used to power various aircraft systems.

Flap motors extend and retract the flaps on the wings, while hydraulic filters keep the hydraulic fluid clean.

“Infinite fear unlocked, thanks l hate the inside of airplanes,” one commenter said.

“So that’s where my leg space went,” another commenter said.
