This Minnesota junkyard has thousands of vehicles sitting inside it, some of which are from the early 1900s.
Windy Hill Auto Parts has been running since 1964, and it’s pretty remarkable, even by the standards of US junkyards.
We’ve seen plenty, but very few would have the range of cars that Windy Hill has.
It’s open 365 days a year, and you still couldn’t see it all in that time.

If you want to see a lot of old cars, there’s no better place to go than a junkyard.
Well, so long as you’re not expecting to see the vehicles in showroom condition, that is.
There was this epic site in Georgia that was practically city-sized.

Up in Missouri, a Mopar junkyard was filled with muscle cars.
No matter where you go in the States, there’s a humongous junkyard brimming with classics, whether it be California or South Dakota.
These sites all have a lot going for them – they have the scale and they have the history.
But you really have to stand in awe of Windy Hill Auto Parts in Minnesota.

Founded in 1964 by Allan and Pat Bajari, this family-run site plays host to thousands of vehicles.
And when we say there’s some real oldies on this site, we mean it.
Some are even go back as far as the early 1930s.
All the heavy hitters are represented, as far as brand recognition goes.

There’s Cadillacs, Fords, Mercedes, Chevrolets, and tons more.
It may sound like a statement of obvious fact, but the cars sitting in Windy Hill Auto Parts aren’t in great shape.
Most are succumbing to some degree of rust, or have been eaten up by the surrounding greenery.
But it’s a real treat to walk among these cars of a bygone era and soak in the history.
You’ve got some cars from the 1930s, and some others from relatively recent decades – like the 1980s!

On the website, Windy Hill Auto Parts assured interested parties:
“We sell quality used auto parts, from engines, transmissions, tires, windshields, and computers to watcha-ma-call-its.”
All those cars and watcha-ma-call-its?
What more could you ask for?
