Mustang driver gets perfect revenge on noisy Silverado owner neighbor

A Mustang owner from the US dreamed up the perfect revenge for his noisy neighbor who revved the engine of his Silverado every day at 5:00am.

The man explained that the neighbor in question was the proud owner of a lifted Silverado that he had straight piped. 

As you might imagine, the vehicle was capable of making quite a lot of racket, and while many gearheads enjoy the sound of a throaty exhaust, no one wants to hear it at 5:00am, right?

So, the guy’s Mustang-owning neighbor thought up the perfect solution to put a stop to his early morning wake-up call.

The man shared his ‘petty revenge’ in a post on Reddit, explaining that every morning for the whole week, without fail, his neighbor would start his Silverado and ‘rev it as high as possible’ at 5:00am as he left to work. 

Not ideal. 

But the man decided that rather than get angry, he’d get even and came up with a smart way to get revenge.

Rather than confront the neighbor, he went out to his garage at 2:00am and carefully removed the mufflers from his Mustang.

Now, at this point, he could have just made a whole heap of noise right there and then by revving his ‘Stang, but instead, he went one step further. 

He enlisted the help of his girlfriend and quietly pushed the car out of the garage, bringing it as close to the neighbor’s bedroom window as possible.

You can probably guess what happened next, but just in case you can’t, the man then jumped behind the wheel of his Mustang, kept it out of gear, and floored it for all it was worth. 

We can’t even begin to imagine how loud that would have been, but the plan worked perfectly. 

When 5:00am rolled around, the neighbor started his truck and quietly pulled away while staring at the Mustang the whole time.

Lesson learned.
