The internet recently found a mysterious 1972 Chevy Nova for sale on eBay and now everyone wants to buy it.

In the early ’70s, Chevrolet promoted the Nova as ‘the car with the least mechanical problems and the easiest to service’.

And it truly was something special.

But now a super-mysterious example of the car has turned up in Delaware without much information.

Mysterious 1972 Chevy Nova

This super-mysterious 1972 Chevy Nova is a gem to look at.

Despite being such an old model it is in great condition, as far as we can tell.

Although like most cars being sold on eBay, this one also comes with a caveat.

It’s too damn popular despite only having a lazy six-cylinder engine that cranks but doesn’t start.

At the time of writing, 50 people have bid on the car.

And an additional 202 people have added it to their watchlist, some of whom are likely to enter the auction at the last minute.

Let’s take a closer look

However, a closer inspection of the low-quality photos revealed some issues with the Chevy Nova.

Although the car doesn’t have any visible rust issues, there are a few dents all over the body.

The seller also didn’t provide much information about the car except that it had no brakes and needed to be towed.

So if you want a nice project car, this might be a good pick for you.

It’s quite an old car, but if you think it’s a good deal, here are a few things you should keep in mind when buying a used car.

The 1972 Chevy Nova came in four different engine configurations.

Unfortunately, this example features the lowest variant with the 250 Turbo-Thrift engine that only produces 110 horsepower.

But this doesn’t seem to bother the over 200 people who have already expressed their interest in the auction.

At the time of writing, the top offer was $11,100, which is a fair amount for a classic car in this condition.
