NBA star LeBron James and Richard Mille have teamed up for a watch that costs a fortune.

It’s made out of materials patented by the company itself, and it costs more than most supercars.

Production is limited, of course.

But there’s something else that makes this watch special.

Richard Mille and LeBron James prove there’s a first time for everything

Among other things, this watch made headlines because it is the first-ever collab between Richard Mille and the NBA, or any NBA star for that matter.

Its full name is RM 65-01 Split-Seconds Chronograph, but we can just call it the LeBron Richard Mille.

The watch is made of black carbon TPT and yellow quartz TPT, both of which are patented and invented by RM itself.

The skeletonized dial features LeBron James’s logo at 12 o’clock as well as green and yellow features as a tribute to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Ohio, where LeBron James went to school.

Production is limited to 150 units, and it costs $405,040.

The Ferrari of watches

Richard Mille is a bit like the Ferrari of watches.

Not just because RM watches are expensive, like all Ferraris, but because this is one of those brands you can’t buy into unless you’re approved first.

Even if you are, you have to get ready to fork out a fortune as each piece costs hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions.

Rafa Nadal, a brand ambassador for Richard Mille since 2010, once won a tennis tournament wearing a $2.5 million RM watch.

Most RM watches are more expensive than actual supercars, but there are exceptions.

The Richard Mille 550, sometimes known as the Le Mans RM, is difficult to find but if you do, it’ll ‘only’ set you back between $8,000 and $10,000.

A bargain, isn’t it?
