As more and more drivers take the leap to electric cars, the anxiety behind the big change in habits is finally being tackled, and now new EV owners have shared their thoughts after making the change from gas cars.

It seems inevitable that in the next 10 years or so, we’ll all be driving EVs, if you’re not already.

There’s a lot of development needed in infrastructure, but the industry is quickly growing with the need for cleaner cars.

One driver has just made this switch after years of gas cars, and they’ve got social media in a stir, harmoniously praising their new cars, specifically the Volkswagen ID.3.

Volkswagen ID.3 owner gets people talking after switching to EVs

Even the most stubborn gas car lovers are now finding that there’s much to admire about EVs.

Some owners have marveled at the running costs, while others have simply loved the smooth ride of the motors.

One Reddit user has just been given the keys to the impressive Volkswagen ID.3 range after driving with this brand for over a decade, and the new EV owner has claimed it’s by far the best that he’s had.

“Been a VW owner for 11 years and I just upgraded to an ID.3 this weekend! I’m absolutely in love with it so far.”

After being asked a few days later, they continued the plaudits.

“Loving it so far! I have to say the range isn’t the best, but I don’t go too far, so it’s fine for me. And I went PCP and managed to get it for £220 a month with a £1,000 deposit!” they added.

It’s not clear whether the owner unlocked the car’s full potential with the controversial subscription, but they appear to be having a blast regardless.

New EV owners are happy with their switch

Other EV drivers have applauded them, taking to the Reddit thread to pass on their congratulations, tips, and tricks.

“No tips! Just a congrats!! I took mine on a European road trip this summer, and it was a breeze. Such a great car!” one comment read.

“Volkswagen ID.3 is my first electric car too. And I love it. I have had Golf hybrids before, so I’m kind of used to driving electric,” another added.

Not all new EV owners have been as happy, though. There are a few who have instantly switched back to the tried and tested gas cars, citing charging congestion as the main cause of concern.

But with the infrastructure growing daily, this issue should soon be alleviated.
