This man from New Jersey achieved the impossible by turning a mere one cent into a flashy Chevy Corvette.

JD Montclair is no stranger to turning coins into bills, but this time, he landed himself a classic car.

With a whole lot of hope and a big dream, he embarked on the ultimate trading journey.

Let’s take a look at how he managed to take one cent and end up with a car.

How he turned $0.01 into a Chevy

From the coin, JD slowly started to pick up and trade items, including headphones, an Atari Console, and and a pair of Birkenstocks.

He finally found himself able to trade his everyday items for a whole car.

He started small, with vehicles including a Ford Focus and a Toyota Yaris.

Of course, each car needed a bit of sprucing up and work to make sure it was fighting fit for a new owner to take over.

After selling the Toyota Yaris for $3,000, JD revealed that he ‘knew things weren’t going to get any easier’ so picked up a social media side hustle to earn some extra cash as he was still in college

He managed to earn an extra $800, which meant he was in the best position yet.

In a bid to fund his supercar dream from $0.01, he began lowballing offers on all manner of cars, from a Corvette to a Nissan.

Finally, after considering many, he settled on the Corvette for $4,000.

After viewing the car, it seemed that there were a few things wrong, but he was still happy with his choice.

Not bad for trading his way up, you have to admit.

However, there was a catch, as JD claimed that it was the ‘most hated Corvette’, the reason being a cross-fuel injection part powering the car.

The Corvette actually needed fixing to achieve the supercar dream

JD still had his heart set on a Lexus LC500, so now it was time to fix up and sell again.

So, JD enlisted the help of some mechanic masterminds, as there was one big problem: a fuel leak.

Alongside the leak, there was no AC, and the headlight wiring also needed fixing as soon as possible, along with the interior cluster, so the car could be sold on.

“He fixed 80 percent of the issues and other stuff he didn’t have to,” explained the creator.

However, JD left the video on a slight cliffhanger – someone picked up the Corvette and decided to take it for a test drive, but after an hour had passed, they were still nowhere to be seen.

Could this be the end of the one-cent to supercar journey?

Only time will tell.
