Lamborghini has revealed its off-road Sterrato and more recently Porsche has launched its 911 Dakar.

Now one incredibly talented designer has imagined the Ferrari SF90 Stradale with all the bells and whistles required to turn it into an off-road beast

Digitally rendered by an artist called Ildar, the creation is dubbed the SF90 Dakar Cross Edition.

To create the SF90 Dakar Cross Edition, Ildar started with one of the Italian marque’s most powerful models.

The SF90 Stradale is powered by a twin-turbocharged hybrid V8 engine, putting out 986 hp in total.

Speaking to supercarblondie.com, @ildar_project said he started the transformation by adding all-new suspension to give the supercar higher ground clearance.

He then added new off-road tires, with a wheel design by Vissol Wheels.

The SF90 Dakar Cross Edition also has beefed-up wheel arches and side skirts for more body protection.

Most notably, the artist gave the Ferrari a roof rack to carry a spare all-terrain tire.

This alone, gives the car a far more aggressive off-road appearance.

At the front of the SF90, Ildar has added yellow headlights to the front bumper “to make it more comfortable to drive at night, in fog or rain”.

While we don’t expect Ferrari to release an off-road supercar similar to the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, it’s not out of the question.

Will Ferrari venture off-road?

Ferrari once said that it would never build an SUV, but following the incredible success of the Lamborghini Urus, the company backtracked and followed suit with the Purosangue.

And while Ferrari claims it’s not an SUV, instead a sports car, it does look a lot like one.

So, we don’t want to rule out the exciting prospect of an off-road Prancing Horse.

But will it look like Ildar’s SF90 Dakar Cross Edition? We’ll have to wait and see.
