A widow was lost for words after seeing her late husband’s Ferrari 308 GTB cleaned up for the first time in decades.

The bright red 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB had been stashed away inside a garage for almost 30 years.

Its late owner had been a car lover, and alongside the 1977 model, he had also owned a 1976 308 GTB and a DeLorean.

However, with the cars being kept off the road for so long, they were in serious need of some TLC, so the original owner’s son Rolland reached out to WD Detailing for help.

The Ferrari 308 GTB had spent decades off the road

The team from WD Detailing has a lot of experience when it comes to making old vehicles look brand new.

They’ve previously revived an Audi R8 that spent years exposed to the elements, and transformed a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am that had spent more than three decades in a barn.

More recently, the team headed out to Minnesota to help get two  Ferrari 308 GTB and a DeLorean spruced up and looking their best.

In the clip, the son of the original owner explained how the cars had spent almost three decades inside the garage.

Before they could even get going on cleaning the cars, they had to put some air in the tires and carefully extract the vehicles from the garages.

The first car to be hauled out was the 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB, which featured some very cool gold-colored wheels.

But, as you might expect, it was in a bit of a state and had acquired a thick layer of dirt, grime, and mold.

To help get the job done, WD Detailing called in Detail Dane, who focused on the 1976 308 GTB.

And after hours of washing, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing, the two Ferraris were looking brand-new.

It was an emotional reunion for the family

With the hard work done, it was time to show the cars to their late owner’s family, and it was an emotional reunion.

After whipping back the doors on the garage, the owner’s widow saw the vehicles cleaned up for the first time in almost 30 years and couldn’t quite believe her eyes.

“You did a good job, thank you,” she said before starting to cry.

“I can’t thank you guys enough. There aren’t words.”

With the cars looking as good as new, Rolland explained that they hope to keep at least one of them in the family.
