This is one of the most special Ferraris ever built
Ferrari is known for making super-fast cars that take luxury to the next level.
From the Daytona to the Spyder, the cars are instantly recognizable by their color, design, and engine power.
Now, one of the most special Ferraris ever built could be about to fetch a huge $9.5 million at auction in California.

Meet the 1993 Ferrari F40, with seats finished in the iconic Rossa Corsa color.
It is number 14 out of only 19 ever made. But that’s not the only factor that makes it so rare.
The supercar was ‘Ferrari Classiche Certified in 2009, authenticating the matching-numbers engine, transaxle, and coachwork’, proving it really is in a different league.
The distinctive red shell is also home to the most powerful engine ever put in a Ferrari F40. It allows the dream machine to reach a mighty 760hp.

The supercar was part of a special build program called ‘F40 LM’ – which was intended to allow the cars to run at the prestigious race of Le Mans.
However, IMSA AND FIA regulations meant it needed some modifications, the most significant of which was made to the engine.
Thanks to Giuliano Michelotto, the car also has bigger cooling vents and a reconfigured cabin, which provided the addition of racing harnesses and even more aerodynamic front spoiler.

But, after many upgrades to the chassis too, a second version was also built to accommodate European racing guidelines.
The power of the engine increased to 760hp, which was almost 300hp more than the original engine was capable of.
Plus, the car has also won the ‘Passion and Performance Collection class’ at the 2025 ModaMiaimi councours event.
Why is the Ferrari F40 one of the most special Ferraris made?
Well, you see, it’s all to do with how many were actually made.
“According to the combined information of factory build sheets, chassis number 95448 is the 14th example prepared by Michelotto,” stated the listing.
And now, after having special owners, competing in events, and even being returned to the engineers at Michelotto for a freshen up, it’s available for a superfan to call their own. But it won’t come cheap.
It is expected to fetch a whopping $8,500,000 – $9,500,000.
This isn’t the only special Ferrari model either.
Another rare model, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was one of only 36 ever built and housed a 3.0-liter V12 engine, which was a popular choice in the 1960s.
Take a look at the Sotheby’s listing of the 1993 Ferrari F40 for your chance to grab one of only 19 ever created.
