Pagani has just celebrated its legendary founder, Horacio Pagani’s, 70th birthday with the ultra-exclusive Huayra 70 Trionfo.

The man himself is responsible for some of the greatest hypercars ever built.

Built by Pagani Automobili’s Grandi Complicazioni division, it’s based on an icon of the supercar world we all know and love.

Meaning that the father of the brand has the honor of having one named in commemoration of this milestone.

Happy Birthday to Horacio Pagani

Horacio Pagani’s name carries a lot of weight in the supercar world.

The Argentine founder of Pagani Automobili is responsible for some of the greatest supercars of the modern era.

Cars such as the Zonda, the Huayra, and the Utopia are all thanks to the mind of the man once rejected by Lamborghini.

This year, Horacio is turning 70.

And his brand is marking the moment by surprising him with his very own special edition.

It is all thanks to the geniuses over at the Grandi Complicazioni division.

In something of a dead giveaway, the birthday present is based on the iconic Huayra.

That iconic supercar was in production from 2011 to 2018.

During that time, nearly 200 units of the Huayra were built by the firm.

And now there is another special edition.

Huayra 70 Trionfo looks incredible

This edition is called the ‘trionfo’ (Italian for triumph).

Unlike its predecessors, this Huayra 70 Trionfo features a restyled silhouette.

The four-light layout at the front has been ditched for single headlights and vertical DRLs.

In terms of the body itself, the design is pure, naked mechanics.

Even the bumper, extractor, and diffuser have been reimagined.

One thing we’re not so sure about is what the interior looks like.

The Italian marque simply says that it immerses the driver in a ‘symphony of the finest leathers and textures’.

Given the fact that we’re dealing with Pagani, we can absolutely believe that.

Just three units are set to be built

Details on the powertrain are also scarce.

Of course, the ‘standard’ version comes with the beating heart of a 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 from Mercedes-AMG.

That powerplant produced 730hp and 738lb-ft of torque.

An older Instagram post, though, suggests that the power output is a lot higher.

In fact, the V12 could be dialled up to produce as much as 834hp.

The brand will only build three Huayra 70 Trionfo units.

One of those three is already on its way to its owner in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We can only imagine how incredible this car will be once it hits the streets.
