Flying, love it or hate it, is part of many people’s travel plans, and sometimes, after taking off, travelers can experience a huge rumble of turbulence, but fear not, as a pilot has explained all.
For many people, this can cause alarm, but one pilot has explained why you don’t need to be worried about a small bump in the air.
It turns out that there’s a very simple and logical explanation for the turbulence occurring one to two minutes after the plane lifts off the ground.
The creator explained how it’s all to do with other planes in the sky that take off before your aircraft.

Ever wondered what that huge rumble of turbulence is straight after take off? This pilot explained all
When flying, lots of movements happen both in and around the aircraft.
Taking off can be stressful enough, but when turbulence occurs straight after a plane ascends, travelers are often worried.

However, it turns out that there’s a reasonable explanation as to why this happens, and one pilot tried to help nervous flyers out online.
Pilot and content creator flyman_simon explained that the big rumble that occurs when you take off is all to do with what’s left behind by the jet that took off before yours.
“That is generally another aircraft has departed and you are going through their wake turbulence or their jet eflux from their engines,” explained the pilot.

He went on the explain that when the aircraft initially goes up into the sky, there is lots of ‘spun up’ air behind the plane due to thrust, but he pointed out that you don’t have to worry.
“The aircraft is perfectly safe, it’s built to handle this,” he said, trying to give fearful flyers some peace of mind.
So, as long as you abide by basic travel rules and safety measures, there’s no need to fear your next flight.
Online, some travellers were relieved at the pilot’s explanation
Flying can be a rocky experience sometimes, so when pilots take it upon themselves to offer answers to questions about planes, many travelers are relieved.
After the pilot answered the wake turbulence question, some users online thanked him.
“Thank you, I did have that happen to me,” said one user.
“I am finding these talks very reassuring. I panic at the slight movement of the aircraft,” commented another.
This isn’t the first time that the pilot has answered a turbulence question online, though.
He previously took to TikTok to explain why you don’t need to be worried about turbulence.
Plus, another pilot also put people’s minds at ease when he explained why we use the brace position on planes.
