This pilot pulled off a difficult landing in a hilly setting
Landing a plane even during perfect weather conditions onto a clear, visible runway is a task that is tricky for any pilot.
But when runways don’t have the best visibility and are surrounded by hilly terrain, extra skill and concentration are needed.
YouTuber Missionary Bush Pilot showed how he mastered what could be one of the world’s most difficult landings.

We’re talking sprawling hills and a runway that you really have to look for, in fact, if you blink, you may miss it.
“The crazy thing about this place is you actually land on a one-percent downhill,” the pilot explained.
“Then it goes up into an 11 percent uphill, so the whole flaring and power off is super unique to this place.”
But unfazed by the difficult task ahead, the pilot took to the skies.

The descent looked nerve-wracking at times, and a wrong move could have landed him in the middle of the mountains.
However, thanks to his impressive skill, he made one of the most difficult landings look like no trouble at all.
Landing a plane is a difficult skill to master
From bleak weather conditions to diversions, often pilots have a lot to contend with when attempting to land an aircraft.
Runways can often be short, leaving little room for any errors to occur.
In fact, a video of a plane landing on the world’s shortest runway left people shocked as it overlooked a cliff at the Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport on Saba Island.
Difficult landings don’t just affect small aircraft either.
One Airbus A340 proved this, as the pilot managed to pull off a crosswind landing, with the huge plane even crabbing sideways.
Watching Missionary Bush Pilot tackle his hillside landing has given us a newfound appreciation for pilots far and wide.
