On May 10th, President Donald Trump toured a Qatari $400M Boeing 747, which he wants to convert into the new Air Force One, and the project could cost $1,000,000,000.

There are a few problems that come with converting the $400M Boeing 747, like the fact that disassembling it, reassembling it, and making it into a high-security presidential plane will far exceed its budget.

Allegedly, the project isn’t due to be finished until 2029, after President Trump’s second term as US President is finished.

Air Force One is an extremely complicated and high-tech plane that’s a centre for communications in the sky, and it even has control of nuclear weapons, making it a very important project that should not be rushed.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, toured a 13-year-old plane, more specifically a $400M Qatari Boeing 747, gifted from Qatar’s Emir, with the hope of making it into the new Air Force One.

When you’re the President, you have to be ready to fly anywhere in the world as soon as possible. And Boeing proudly boasts over half a century of providing US leaders with the iconic presidential plane.

Air Force One is designed to be a communications center in the sky, capable of refueling in mid-air. It’s also kitted out with insane technologies, and even built to withstand an electromagnetic pulse.

The aircraft even has control of the nuclear weapons, so it’s basically like a flying White House.

With President Trump’s plans to turn his new plane into Air Force One comes a few problems.

Firstly, according to an aviation expert, it will cost over one billion dollars, and will need to be completely disassembled and rebuilt.

Essentially, it has to become a flying fortress. But it also has to be a communications center identical to that of the White House itself.

Much like the president’s car, The Beast, security is of the utmost importance. So the remodel will be costly – both in money and time.

The project’s current end date is 2029, when President Trump’s term is set to end. And that means it could go straight into the Trump Presidential Library Foundation and never serve as Air Force One.

One thing’s for sure, whether it’s on land, in the sky, or on the sea, US Presidents are always guaranteed a sweet ride.
