A 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS was recently discovered in an Oklahoma barn after being stored for 44 years.

The iconic car allegedly belongs to a private collector.

It’s quite sad to see a person who collects cars not taking better care of their vehicles.

However, the car is still in a restorable condition even after spending so much time in storage.

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS discovered in Oklahoma barn

The 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is quite a special car and was very popular during its release year.

Chevrolet sold 66,000 coupes and 5,500 convertibles for the Chevelle SS, on top of producing over 447,000 non-SS units for that model year.

However, out of those the rarest ones are the Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396, fitted with an L78 engine that produces 375 horsepower.

Only 100 such examples were produced and this classic car might be one of those super-rare Chevelle.

Unfortunately, the car is not in perfect shape and might need a full restoration.

However, it only has minor issues, including rust damage.

Iconic Chevvy Chevelle

The Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is so iconic that even Tom Cruise has one in his car collection.

This car has been parked in an Oklahoma barn since the 80s.

It is still in a collectible condition and can be as good as new after a visit to a restorer.

However, the car doesn’t have the original engine or transmission.

This example was first spotted on eBay but the listing doesn’t give that much information about the car.

It is also safe to assume that whatever is under the hood is not running and the car might require transportation to your garage.

Just recently, there was also a barn find where multiple rare Chevrolet cars were found, including a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 and 454.
