The ‘what is this car’ subreddit on Reddit is popular with people who need help recognizing even the rarest of the rare cars.

Just a glimpse of a car is all that’s needed, and car lovers from around the world then take a short amount of time to recognize it.

However, this strange car seems to have baffled even everyone in the group.

Mystery of strange car posted on Reddit

Posted by a Reddit user named rfadouglas, this car sparked a significant conversation in the group, as no one was able to recognize it.

rfadouglas in the caption wrote, “Can’t get any other photos of it. My guess is a home-built or maybe a movie car, but I’m stumped.”

It seems like a justified answer, as no one was able to identify the bizarre vehicle they were looking at.

The user mentioned that it has been parked in a Vancouver storage lot since at least 2015.

A single tail light is visible, with the other one missing, and the grille matches with that of a Rolls-Royce car; but they are on the rear side.

The mystery continues

Adding to the mystery, the strange car has four exhaust tips, suggesting it might have a rear engine.

People also noticed the car having a radiator on the back, but it wasn’t enough to solve the mystery.

To further assist our Reddit ‘car detectives’, the user posted another photo of the unidentifiable car from a different angle.

However, that wasn’t enough to give anyone a clear idea at what they were looking at.

The comments on the post ranged from wild guesses to hilarious remarks, with one user commenting: “This is the first car that isn’t easily solved by typing the brand and model into Wikipedia that I’ve seen.”

Another one expressed their surprise, commenting: “This group is stumped? No way!”

Interestingly, the post is still struggling with the mystery of the car, and we hope to get some solid answers soon.

But as of now, it’s best to say that the car is probably a part of a wild DIY project.
