Aroya by Saudi Arabia sets sail on its maiden voyage
Aroya, operated by AROYA Cruises, started its story under a different name.
It was originally ordered as World Dream for Star Cruises and later became part of Dream Cruises.
The ship was officially named World Dream in 2017 but faced challenges in 2020 when it was quarantined due to COVID-19 cases onboard.
Then in 2023, the ship was auctioned and purchased by Cruise Saudi for $355 million. Soon after the purchase, it underwent extensive renovations in Bremerhaven.
The name Aroya combined ‘Arabian’ and ‘roya,’ meaning vision or dream – a beautiful name for a beautiful ship.
This 335-meter-long floating resort was designed to host over 3,362 passengers.
Experience the luxury at its best
The ship offers 1,678 luxurious cabins, many with sea-view balconies, and high-end suites and villas.
The ship’s 18 decks also feature 20 dining and entertainment venues, including a 1,018-seat theater.
Guests could also enjoy a luxury spa, swimming pools, and even an onboard casino. Exclusive shopping options were also added to enhance the premium experience.
With so much to enjoy, no wonder why some people prefer to live most of their lives in the seas.
With luxury cruises like Aroya and groundbreaking projects like NEOM, Saudi Arabia is elevating its tourism game.
