Škoda unveiled a digital rendering of a sedan, and it looked so good that fans wanted it to become a reality.
This image was inspired by the rear-engined 100 and 110, blending in Modern Solid design aspects and EV proportions.
It also had a fun fin-shaped rear panel where a traditional window would usually sit.
For now, this car is a work of fiction – but fans are demanding it be made into a reality.

Where has this Škoda design come from – and why do people love it so much?
As the third best-selling automaker in Europe, Škoda has well and truly earned the right to celebrate.
For its ‘Icons Get a Makeover‘ series, the brand has been reimagining its past models as futuristic EVs.
But no need to build a concept car – the company has brought these imagined EVs to life through the wonders of digital imaging.

One such car to get a makeover was the rear-wheel-drive, rear-engined 100/110, sold between 1969 and 1977.
You would never believe that this creation was based on a car from that time period.
This time, it looks like it’s straight out of 2169, not 1969.
Perhaps the most radical design aspect is the lack of a rear window.
Instead, a panel matching the car’s body covers the vehicle’s rear, upon which a central fin sits.

This fin serves as both an air intake and houses a third brake light, Motor1 reported.
But it’s not all change – there’s still subtle nods to the original.
The LED light bars bookending the car reference the original chrome strip and engine vent.
And there’s still a fuel cap on the front fender, but it hosts a charging port now.
Fans seem to be loving this design
Over on a car forum, car lovers weighed in with their reactions to the design.
“Very nice concept, it brings new ideas together in a coherent way, it surprises with its surface treatment and its original C-pillar, the rest is also pleasing,” one user wrote.

“Peel away the showcar gimmickry, and it could present some massive potential for the brand,” another said.
Will this car become a reality sometime soon?
Judging from the reaction of car fans and media outlets alike, it’s safe to say it would be well received.
We love to see concept cars – and the more creative, the better.
Remember the time Mercedes-Benz linked up with the production team behind Avatar to create potentially the coolest car of all time?
Or how about Lamborghini’s super futuristic concept car, fittingly named the Manifesto?
