Chances are, if you have flown using a popular airline, you have boarded a Boeing 757 airplane, thanks to the widespread popularity of the aircraft for a variety of flight lengths.

However, have you ever wondered how the Boeing 757 stops on the runway when it lands? Well, the Topfelya YouTube channel has captured the landing gear, AKA the shock-absorbing suspension system, in action.

In the video, the wheels start at a distance from the body of the aircraft before lowering to allow the front wheels to touch the tarmac and absorb the shock that occurs when hitting the ground at speed.

The Boeing 757 also has truck tilt systems, which help the airplane to land successfully. You can watch the landing gear in action at the top of the page.
