This son took his dad’s Ford F-250 truck to detailer to transform it after it had gone years without being washed.

Mitch, known on YouTube as The Detail Geek, was the one to give the F-250 a makeover.

The 30-year-old truck was looking pretty rough after years of work on a farm.

But after an 11-hour clean, it looked like a totally different vehicle.

Taking on a dirty Ford F-250

There are few things as satisfying in life as seeing a dirty car get a deep clean.

Whether it be a Rolls-Royce Phantom or an abandoned Dodge Phoenix, it’s a joy to see a sparkling clean car at the end of the process.

Getting a car spick and span is even something of a love language, as one guy demonstrated when he cleaned up his ex-wife’s Pontiac Grand Ville in an attempt to win her back.

Some cars may be deemed ‘uncleanable’, but that makes it all the better when they do get given a new lease of life.

If any car was going to be written off as a lost cleaning cause at first glance, it’d be this Ford F-250 truck.

A son brought this truck to Mitch, AKA The Detail Geek.

It belonged to his dad and had spent decades working on a farm.

Thick layers of mud and dirt covered the truck, and hay was piled up in the bed.

“The exterior is filthy and covered in mud everywhere,” Mitch said.

“The interior is full of nasty stains and a thick layer of dust.”

Successfully cleaning it would be no mean feat.

After the cleaning, it was like a whole new truck

Once the dirt was washed away, the distinctive silver paint was revived.

However, parts of the truck had withered away, thanks to corrosion.

Nonetheless, it was wonderful to see the truck getting a thorough cleaning.

It could do quite well as an ASMR experience.

But how would things progress once he started on the interior?

Removing the seats put the dismal floors on full display.

“As I work on vacuuming this carpet, you can see what the color it’s supposed to be,” Mitch said.

“A nice light grey, not the grungy brown color that it is everywhere.

“After seeing [the stains], it’s going to be big challenge, but I am confident that I can make some huge improvements at the very least.”

And a huge improvement is exactly what he achieved by the end of the video.

Sure, it didn’t exactly look showroom new.

But it looked like something you would enjoy driving.

The carpet stains had been massively reduced, and the truck no longer looked as though it smelled like a barn.

A job well done, all around.
