Airbus has a vast variety of aircraft under its wings

The planes are loved by spotters all over the world, thanks to international routes meaning many airports are covered.

In fact, one man was such a fan that he turned his spare room into an Airbus A320 cockpit.

It’s no surprise that aviation enthusiasts are so passionate about aircraft as interesting footage is constantly emerging.

One pilot pulled off an ultra-rare landing in an Airbus A320, and you wouldn’t even know it had touched the ground from the footage.

But, just wait until you see this landing that took place at Madeira Airport

The landing is low but impressive

Thanks to footage captured by @lisbon.airport.spotting an Airbus was caught coming into land.

But, it wasn’t any ordinary landing, it was performed in difficult circumstances, because of the unique runway.

You see, the airport’s runway is actually supported by 180 pillars, and the structure and surroundings of the unique setting is known to cause a few hiccups along the way.

“Madeira Airport has been classified as a Category C facility, which means that it is considered to pose certain problems during procedures, including the likes of approaches, landing, or takeoff,” says Simple Flying.

In addition, pilots are even required to undertake training in a simulator and also ‘sit in the jump seat’ for takeoff and landing, before flying into the airport.

The airport is named after a sporting star

Madeira Airport was actually named after soccer star Ronaldo in 2017 and is also known as Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport.

The sportsman is a native of the country and a fan of all things speedy, too, as evidenced by his $75 million private jet that’s completely customized.

He also has an impressive car collection. In fact, his full supercar inventory is valued at over $20 million and includes a 1-of-10 Bugatti.
