This YouTuber suggested that ‘greatest car ever made‘ is a weird Subaru Domingo van and showed the flashy features that deserve the title.
The Subaru Domingo is a Japanese minivan that was first produced in the 1980s, and is still impressing gearheads today.
Now, 40 years later, this car fan has explained why he thinks it’s the best around.
And that’s despite the pedals being in an unusual position.

Could this really be the ‘greatest car ever made’?
When it comes to the auto industry, every car company’s goal is to have one of its models named as ‘the greatest car ever made’.
Now, after experiencing one Japanese car brand, this man has claimed that the Subaru Domingo van is simply the best.

YouTuber captaincrankshaft took to TikTok to explain the reasons why it tops his list, and it turns out that the vehicle is so much more than a simple set of wheels.
“This, my friends, is a Subaru Domingo, and it’s full of some weird stuff. When you get in, you are literally sitting on top of the front wheels,” explained the creator.
Due to the positioning of the driver’s seat, he said that the van almost drives like a school bus, which is an unusual comparison to make.
Taking a tour around the Subaru, he went on to show the Domingo van in more detail.

One major standout was the pedals only being controlled by your left foot, according to the YouTuber.
Other interesting elements that simply made the Subaru the ‘greatest car ever made’ were that the seats could move and even fold down into a bed, as well as making room for seven people.
The car also has rear climate control and speakers for the passengers, meaning the cabin is really well appointed for a minivan.
Other gearheads were in agreement that the Subaru Domingo van was an excellent choice
After being hailed the ‘greatest car ever made’ by the YouTuber, other car fans were also impressed by the Japanese vehicle.
“Can you imagine cruising with your friends in this?” asked one impressed gearhead.
“Rear wheel drive, rear engine, lightweight. This is basically Porsche 911,” joked another car fan.
“I wish they sold those in Europe,” said a third.
Plus, it turns out that Subaru has some other impressive things under its belt, too.
In fact, the car company has recently unveiled a new EV that has been perfectly designed for off-roading.
And thanks to a clever marketing ploy, Subaru dog advertisements are driving sales and stealing hearts, thanks to a cuteness overload.
