The $6 million villa in Thailand that Alex Hirschi – aka Supercar Blondie – has called home for the last four months is a zen home away from home.
Seven bedrooms, a cinema, direct access to the beach, and it comes will full-time staff, including a chef.
It’s the perfect place to reset after 10 years of global adventures – her ‘happy place’, as she describes it.
We had a chat with her to find out a bit more about this beautiful abode and her stay in Thailand.

What is your favorite part of the villa?
“My favorite part is that it’s directly on the beach and the beach is super quiet. Only a few people walk up and down a day and so the privacy is amazing,” she said.
“My happy place is on the beach where I can hear the waves crashing, and after 10 years of running around the world filming, this has been such a good reset for my nervous system.”
Aside from the outstanding view, what features make this villa special?

“The villa has a security guard on the beach and behind the house. And it also has an outdoor lounge room and dining room so I can sit there day and night,” she said.
“And the sunsets. The way this villa makes sunsets even more beautiful is amazing.”
What has been the best experience, the highlight of the trip to Thailand so far?
“I went to feed rescued elephants. You arrive and pay for a bucket of bananas and bamboo and get to walk around the sanctuary feeding them,” she explained.
“There was an elephant there who is 67 years old. She’s so calm and happy now she’s been rescued that she freely wanders around the courtyard. It’s the closest I’ve ever been to an elephant.
“There was something really special about being able to walk next to her and see how content she now is. So content that the handlers know she will be gentle with everyone.
You can see the scars on them where they used to have chains. Now they get to wander around freely.”
Are you considering moving here?

“I came to Thailand because I wanted to be somewhere on the beach with beautiful weather. It gets so hot in Dubai that it’s nice to be able to fly with my dogs to another country to escape the heat. I was also looking to buy a house here so the owners kindly let me rent it while I decided if it was the right place.”
“I have loved it so much here but I won’t be moving here simply because my friends are in Dubai and Europe so I feel a bit cut off from them.”
What’s your daily driver in Thailand?

“My goal was to fly under the radar as much as possible. When I go on holiday, I rarely drive a supercar because it means I would have to film it and work: it also means drawing attention,” she said.
“I just want to have my quiet time and so I went back to my Aussie roots and got a Toyota Hilux. A car I used to drive around the farm I grew up on. I actually loved getting back to the basics.”
So you didn’t bring any supercars, but we bet you probably brought your beloved dogs with you

“Yes, I flew my dogs out here with me, and if I can’t bring my dogs then I don’t want to go. My dogs are my family and they bring me so much joy. So yes I flew all six of them here and we go for walks on the beach every day. It’s been incredible.”
“I have been here for four months. I extended the trip for a month because I’ve been so happy here.”
