This superyacht concept, Carapace, that was unveiled by a naval architect, makes travel both under and on top of the water possible, all in one vessel.
The concept could mean that billionaires could spend up to 10 days at a time cruising beneath the surface of the ocean away from the world above.
Although no price has been set in stone, estimates of over $300 million have been suggested.
From multiple decks to the aluminum shell, every element was cleverly thought out, and it will blow your mind.

This superyacht concept is a marvel of marine creation
Superyachts come in different shapes and sizes with many different uses depending on the design.
However, this concept, which was developed by an Italian naval architect, takes the form of both a superyacht and a submarine.
You see, it all stems from Elena Napi, and the Carapace concept was reportedly the result of her degree in Naval Architecture.
The name comes from a fragment of exoskeleton that can be found in select animals, according to the designer’s account in Barche Magazine.

In the design of the ship itself, the Carapace takes the form of a sun canopy.
The clever design enables the huge vessel to dive to depths of 300m for 10 days at a time.
The superstructure of Carapace is made of lightweight aluminium, and the clever material also means it can handle the pressure underwater, too.

It’s also good for the environment, as it is powered by hybrid sources and, if it came into fruition, would boast a whopping three tiers of decks, including a bar, spa, lounge, and even a fancy health club.
There are various reports of price, with some sources not identifying one, such as CNN, but others have estimated over $300 million.
Deep in the depths of the yachting world, billionaires are making waves
You have to admit, owning a superyacht is the epitome of luxury, but as you’d expect, they come with hefty price tags.
The designs of the yachts in question include elements that look like they belong in futuristic movies, like this vessel that left its owner feeling like he’s ‘living in a goldfish bowl’ every time he docks.
Plus, Dennis Washington’s $200m AV superyacht stunned the waterfront in San Francisco, deep in the Golden State.
