The Corvette E-Ray was already a big deal.

It’s a hybrid, it has all-wheel drive, and it makes 655 horsepower straight out of the box.

For most people, that’s more power than they’ll ever need.

But Specialty Vehicle Engineering looked at it and basically said, ‘cute.’

The 2026 E-Ray Stage III Yenko/SC reaches 1,564 horsepower

Specialty Vehicle Engineering took the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray and decided 655 horsepower just wasn’t spicy enough.

So they rebuilt the 6.2-liter V8 engine with stronger parts inside.

Then they added not one, but two turbochargers – basically giant air pumps that force more air into the engine so it can make way more power.

Think of it like giving the car a pair of industrial leaf blowers.

And remember, the E-Ray is already a hybrid

That means it still has electric motors helping out at the front wheels.

So now you’ve got twin turbos at the back and electric power at the front.

The final number?

1,564 horsepower.

That’s more than the 1,250 horsepower factory Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X

In simple terms, this thing makes so much power it kind of bullies the official top dog.

To get all 1,564 horsepower, you’ll need to run it on E85 fuel, which is a high-ethanol blend.

On regular 91 octane, it still works – just not at full superhero mode.

There’s also something called Boost-By-Gear, which controls how much power hits in each gear so the car doesn’t just spin its tires into another dimension.

Only 50 of these are being made.

So if you see one in the wild, you’re basically looking at a unicorn with racing tires.

Why SVE keeps making the Yenko/SC crazier

This isn’t the first time SVE has turned a Corvette into a monster

Earlier versions of their Yenko/SC builds made 1,000 horsepower and 1,250 horsepower using the regular Stingray as a base.

But switching to the hybrid E-Ray changes the whole vibe.

Instead of thinking, ‘Hybrid means eco,’ SVE thought, ‘Hybrid means bonus power.’

The electric motors help with instant acceleration, while the twin-turbo V8 handles the giant headline number.

It’s teamwork – just extremely loud teamwork.

The Yenko name has always meant taking something fast and pushing it way past normal.

So a 1,564 horsepower hybrid Corvette actually fits the tradition perfectly.

Is it necessary?

Absolutely not.

Is it ridiculous in the best possible way?

Completely.

And if you’re 15 and dreaming about horsepower numbers, this is the kind of math problem you actually want to solve.
