This team of YouTubers has discovered an American icon classic car buried under a bush in Tennessee.
The content creators were excited to hopefully bring back the car from the dead and see what treasures were buried inside.
When they liberated it from the ground, it was like unearthing a time capsule from the 90s with the things they found inside.
Through hard work and careful extraction, as well as a wholesome gift, the team worked together to rescue the classic American icon.

Unearthing an American icon
This American YouTube team, known online as ‘What The Rust?’ travelled to a fairly unassuming bush in the middle of the woods in Tennessee, after being given a tip off that there was hidden gem buried beneath it.
When they began digging and extracting, they gradually unearthed a rare edition 1971 Ford Torino.
The true American icon had been left to rust under the feet of so many people for almost four decades.
After a quick review of the car’s exterior, it was revealed that the rear valance had completely rusted and the floor was almost completely missing.
One of the team members, Christine, remembered that she had seen a part of the car elsewhere in the forest and it had truly captivated her.
So, despite it being rusted, the team’s excitement was understandable.

Once the team managed to get it out of the ground, they assessed the internal damage, including the engine which, although intact, had seized.
Also, the doors were firmly stuck, possibly due to being blocked by trees.
The team researched around the car while extracting it and realized it was a 1971 Torino Spring Edition, because of its special vinyl top, exclusive to that year.
Only 15,000 were made so this was beginning to look like a true hidden gem.
The wheels were rusted but the team believed they could salvage them.
And after an initial polish and clean of the body, it revealed a beautiful chocolate brown color.
Richard from the team gifted the original owner’s manual, found in great condition, to Christine.
Finding the owner’s manual was a bonus because it meant they would now have more information on how best to fix the car.
The team said it would continue working on the car and hopefully bring this American icon, a classic Torino, back to life.
