Tesla just fixed one of those tiny-but-infuriating ownership problems.

If your car went in for service, certain perks basically vanished with it.

Now that’s finally changing, and it’s the kind of move only owners will fully appreciate.

Because this time, Tesla’s listening.

The small Tesla change that fixes a big frustration

It’s not flashy, but it matters.

Until now, if you paid for a 30-day subscription to Full Self Driving or Premium Connectivity, that timer started the moment you activated it.

And it kept counting down… even if your car was stuck in service.

A few days without your car meant a few days lost from a subscription you were still paying for.

Loaner cars came loaded with their own perks, but they didn’t carry over your account.

In short: you paid for 30 days and maybe got 25.

But that’s finally over.

Tesla has quietly updated its service policy to make things right.

If your repair takes more than one business day, your active subscriptions will automatically be extended for the full length of the downtime.

For anyone paying $99 a month for Full Self Driving, that small change is a big deal.

It means no more wasted days, and no more feeling like you’re paying for a feature you can’t use.

It’s a simple, good-faith move.

And one that Tesla fans are already applauding.

It’s part of a bigger customer service shift

This policy tweak isn’t happening in isolation.

Tesla’s been quietly rebuilding its service game, adding in-app chat with advisors, real-time repair updates, and clearer timelines.

It’s still fast, digital, and a little abrupt, but it’s starting to feel more human.

And that matters, because with millions of Teslas now on the road, after-sales care is as important as range or Autopilot.
