An 845HP Tesla Cyberbeast faced off against an 850HP Rivian R1T Tri in an epic tug-of-war battle to decide the ultimate winner.
Both trucks have their pros and cons, but it is an undeniable fact that they have been leading the charge as two of America’s most iconic and popular electric vehicles.
The top variants of these pickup trucks are also quite similar in terms of performance.
However, out of the two, which one is the best?

Tesla Cyberbeast vs Rivian R1T
On paper, both the Tesla Cyberbeast and Rivian R1T Tri are quite similar with comparable horsepower and torque.
Both EV trucks have max towing capacities of 11,000lbs (4,989kg).
However, the folks over at MotorTrend YouTube channel recently got their hands on these cars and decided to put them in a tug-of-war duel.
Although the duel was performed on dirt instead of on tarmac, which led to some issues.
This is not the first time we have seen that the Tesla Cybertruck in a tug-of-war competition.
Previously, the EV truck has also taken on and defeated a Lamborghini Urus and a military Humvee.
Tug-of-war competition
The only vehicle that could stand toe to toe with the Cybertruck was a 1990s Dodge Ram with a turbo diesel engine.
Now, let’s see how the Rivian R1T Tri performs against the Cyberbeast .
In round one, both cars start to plant down on the throttles and dig holes in the dirt, pulling each other slightly.
However, the Rivian managed to pull the Cyberbeast a little closer to the line.
In round two, both EV trucks performed just as well as each other.
With both drivers trying to pull the other towards them.
However, the Rivian R1T Tri once again managed to gain a slight advantage over the Tesla.
Does the extra five horsepower make the difference? Maybe just slightly.
