This unlucky owner of a Tesla Cybertruck was annoyed when his EV was damaged in a bizarre animal encounter during a camping trip.
The EV owner shared pictures on a Tesla Cybertruck owner’s forum of his vehicle’s Tonneau cover that was covered in muddy animal paw prints with chunks taken out of the cover.
Turns out that a group of rascally raccoons had attempted to break into the Cybertruck and get into the enclosed truck bed.
The internet found the incident hilarious, with some suggesting the shiny chrome truck looked so similar to a dumpster that they attempted break-in.

This bizarre animal encounter happened during a camping trip
This unlucky Tesla Cybertruck owner shared some unfortunate pictures on a Tesla owners forum of the aftermath of an attempted break in to the EV.
Instead of a human break-in, there were some muddy pawprints left all over the Cybertruck’s Tonneau cover which gave away the identity of the furry thieves.
Turns out that a group of raccoons had attempted to get under the truck’s tonneau cover and as well as leaving muddy paw prints, the furry menaces had taken some significant chunks out of the cover’s trim piece from their gnawing.

The raccoons thought that the Tesla Cybertruck was a shiny dumpster
The pictures from the forum were shared to X and the Cybertruck was described as ‘racoon-proof’ in the post.
Some commenters saw the pictures of the holes in the EV trim and said: “If by ‘raccoon-proof’ you mean a small animal doing significant damage to your tonneau cover… then OK,”
A different commenter suggested that the EV owner could find a way around his furry problem: “Other trucks get around this problem by not looking like a dumpster,”
Who knew that in a duel between a group of raccoons and an armored EV, the group of raccoons would win?
