This Tesla Cybertruck owner had to take to Reddit to ask for advice after he saw how the EV fit into his garage.
It’s always an exciting prospect when you get your hands on a new car.
And it’s even better when you get the car into your garage.
But for one Cybertruck owner, things weren’t so straight forward.
However you feel about it, there’s no question that the Tesla Cybertruck generates conversation
Since it was released back in 2022, the Cybertruck has set tongues wagging all over the world.
Whether it’s formidable performances in drag races or showing its might in a tug of war, the Cybertruck has been ubiquitous with strength and size.
But sometimes that can play against it, as one Reddit user discovered.
Reddit user nefarioussagee took to the Cybertruck subreddit to share his dilemma with fellow Tesla drivers.
He wrote: “What would you do in this situation?”

Alongside it, he shared an image of a Cybertruck inside a garage – not looking too out of place at first glance, it has to be said.
But then you direct your eyes up at the shutters and it becomes crystal clear.
There’s no way these shutters could comfortably shut with the Cybertruck inside the garage.
And that presents a big problem for this driver.
Key Features: Tesla Cybertruck
Powertrain: Single Motor (Rear-Wheel Drive), Dual Motor (All-Wheel Drive)
Top Speed: 112mph
0–62 mph: 6.7 seconds (RWD), 4.3 seconds (AWD)
Drive Modes: Comfort, Sport, Custom
Starting Price: $60,990 (RWD), $79,990 (AWD)
Reddit weighed in with some advice
As is always on the case on Reddit, plenty of people were happy to share their opinions.
“New house obviously,” one wrote.
“Time to extend the garage door out a little further. Time to call some contractors,” another said.

“Park in the driveway,” a third advised.
And then there was the not particularly helpful advise to measure the garage before spending $60,000 on a car.
That’s just a classic case of ‘Woulda, coulda, shoulda’.
Apparently, this was a fairly common occurrence, as some Redditors were able to speak from experience in dispensing advice.
“Pull the garage door forward and build a new frame that is in front of the truck and allows clearance,” one user wrote.
“Fairly easy to do, I know someone who did it. Sucks to do, but definitely doable. You can reuse everything you have, just needs framed out and finished.”
Whatever ends up happening, we hope this Redditor can find a workaround solution.
