Cybertruck owners have finally gained access to FSD.
As a result, customers are now taking to social media to share their first impressions.
Tesla frequently overpromises but has sometimes been accused of underdelivering.
But, in this instance, Cybertruck’s FSD is exactly as advertised.

At long last, FSD is available for the Cybertruck
Tesla took its sweet time to unveil Cybertruck, and when it did, in November last year, everyone immediately asked the question about FSD.
‘When is FSD going to be available?’ was the collective question Tesla fans and owners asked.
After nearly a year, Tesla began rolling out FSD V12.5.5 and the Cybertruck owners who had early access are now using it.
So far, so good.
Or at least that’s what YouTuber The Electric Viking seems to think of it.
He ‘drove’ his Cybertruck for about 20 miles without touching the wheel once.
How does Tesla’s full self-driving work?
FSD (full self-driving) is an evolution of Autopilot, Tesla’s first self-driving system, which was unveiled about a decade ago.
FSD allows your Tesla to drive itself, and park itself, but it isn’t fully autonomous yet.
This is because it is still ‘supervised’, which basically means the driver still has to interact with it, so it isn’t fully autonomous yet.
For example, if the car thinks the driver is not there anymore, or perhaps asleep or not paying attention, it’ll ask the driver to nudge the steering wheel to let it know you’re actually there.
This kind of defeats the purpose of autonomy, but that’s also going to change soon.
From next year, Tesla says unsupervised FSD will be available in Texas and California and, presumably, it’ll then expand to other states and, sooner or later, other markets as well.
