Someone turned this Tesla Cybertruck into the ultimate space age camper.
This American company showed off a Cap bed topper on its YouTube channel, transforming the Cybertruck into the perfect vehicle for camping.
But not only is it practical, it looks really cool too.
Decked out in black, this addition makes the Tesla truck look like something out of Star Wars.

The Tesla Cybertruck gets a makeover
Like most EVs that have been around for a certain period of time, the Cybertruck has been through a few iterations.
When not being put to work on the farm or in the water, the Cybertruck has been given some….interesting makeovers.
Anyone remember the time it got a rust bucket look?

Fortunately, what Space Campers has done is more likely to be a general crowd-pleaser than the ‘rust-bucket’ truck.
Space Campers is an outfitter company that first got people talking when it created ‘The Wedge’ a few years back.
The Wedge was a $24,000 modification for Cybertrucks which turned them into campers.
Once opened, it would provide room in the back for people to sleep.
It wasn’t just a bed that could fit in there however, as there was also the option to include a kitchen and a movie projector.

Essentially, it’d be like having a compact RV.
So, what sets the new Cap bed topper apart from ‘The Wedge’?
Taking a closer look at the Cap bed topper
In some ways, the Cap bed topper is essentially a smaller and simpler version of The Wedge, whilst also being much cheaper.
At a base price of $6,385, the Cap comes in the form of a bed topper designed around the bed dimensions of the Cybertruck.

Buyers have the choice between an aluminum or a glass rear hatch liftgate.
All in all, approximately five inches of height is added to the Cybertruck once the Cap is activated.
Two people should be able to sleep comfortably in the top compartment, whilst more could sleep in the bed area beneath it.
It does impact the range of the vehicle overall, due to added weight.

With 170 additional pounds, this can impact the range by between four and nine percent.
The Cap design is set to go into production in the summer of 2025.
