To give the Tesla Cybertruck’s bulletproof windows its biggest test yet, this group of Californians rolled out everything in the ‘John Wick’ arsenal and let it loose on the glass.
The bulletproof windows in the Tesla Cybertruck are one of the vehicle’s most controversial features.
Having been built up with such hype by Founder Elon Musk, the inaugural test vehicle threw a spanner in the works as he shattered the glass with a metal ball in a famous accident.
But since then, Tesla has refined the bulletproof glass, and now it’s able to withstand even the biggest of arsenals.

Tesla Cybertruck’s bulletproof windows withstand ‘John Wick’ arsenal
It’s been years since Musk nearly shattered his dreams as quickly as his Cybertruck live on stage.
Being played down as a ‘great marketing moment’ by chief designer Franz von Holzhausen, the debacle has now resulted in many Tesla Cybertruck owners creating their own tests to judge for themselves.
One of those testers is the Californian group Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, which has now put the Tesla Cybertruck’s bulletproof windows to the test with a range of firearms.
Taking to a testing ground that has been used by Hollywood actors like Keanu Reeves, the group referred to their weapons as the ‘John Wick’ kit, and they prepared a barrage of attacks on the windows.
Starting with the 9mm pistols.

Firing round after round at two sets of Tesla Cybertruck’s bulletproof windows, the hand pistols only skimmed off the surface, leaving a few shards of glass on their indents, but failing to pierce the windows.
Stepping it up to rifle ammunition, a handful of the bullets began to make inroads to the glass, with some shells being embedded into the windscreen, but still, nothing penetrated.
Even when firing at the same focus area on the smaller windows, the glass withstood.
Checking the interior of the glass after each wave, the inside of the window remained smooth on each inspection.
This isn’t the first time that the Cybertruck has been shot at in practice attempts, as Joe Rogan and Elon Musk previously took aim at the vehicle.
But, only a handful of bulletproof screens have been able to withstand so many attempts.
But how about a .50 cal sniper?
So, enough with the little guns, how about one of the biggest ammunition rounds available?
Fired at the rear windows, the sniper ammunition appeared to have been the bullet that finally cracked the glass, but it only managed to get through the first sheet of the double-paned armor.
Examining the interior again, there was ‘no sign of entry’. They even found the rebounded bullet on the floor.
“We’ve shot all of the John Wick guns at it, mag dump into the front windshield, and nothing. No. Nothing got through,” they said.

So, it’s clear that the Tesla Cybertruck’s bulletproof windows are a match for even the biggest rounds of ammunition, which is a great accomplishment for the EV maker who hoped to get the car into the military.
Still, the US Army has taken things up a notch and is now using the vehicle for target practice with ballistic missiles, to see if it will crack.
