This retired bus driver tried Tesla FSD, Full Self-Driving, for the first time, and his reaction was priceless.
The 82-year-old man admitted he only gave FSD a chance because his son, a Tesla owner, asked him to.
It felt a bit strange at first, but he warmed up to it quite quickly.
What he had to say in the end was interesting.

The guy behind the AmpedUp EV YouTube channel asked his dad, an 82-year-old retired bus driver, to try FSD for the first time.
By his own admission, his dad wasn’t particularly interested in FSD and more to the point he didn’t really care much about electric vehicles in general.
However, after the initial skepticism, followed by an attempt to pretend he wasn’t liking it, this gentleman admitted Full Self-Driving was pretty cool.
Having said that, he also said he wasn’t sure if this actually worked for him.
He joked about it at first.
“This is fun. I can’t wait to hit the showroom, talk to a salesman,” he said with a slight hint of sarcasm.
Then when his son asked him what he would really say to a potential buyer, he took it more seriously and urged drivers to be open-minded.
“Well, give it a test drive,” he said, this time without any irony thrown into the mix.

People’s reaction after trying out FSD for the first time is always interesting.
And it’s likely to get more interesting, because FSD is soon going to be available in ‘Unsupervised’ form in Austin, Texas and should also be available in two more states next year.
Even though it theoretically operates at Level 4, Tesla FSD is actually ‘only’ a Level 2 system.
Conventionally, automakers agree that there are six levels of autonomy, ranging from Level 0 (zero autonomy) to 5 (full autonomy, zero human control).
With Level 4, the vehicle can do everything by itself, it can perform all tasks, and the vehicle can theoretically go from A to B by itself.
