This American has only had his Tesla Model S, like the one in the above video, for a week, and he is already in awe of the EV, even comparing it to a ‘big computer’.

TikTok user David Perkins took to social media to share his experience switching from a gas vehicle to an EV.

Perkins felt one thing stood out the most, and wanted others’ opinions on it.

The TikTok user also briefly discussed the price of the EV, which the company has tried to make more affordable for consumers.

Driving a Tesla Model S is like driving a ‘big computer’

Despite only having the Model S for a week, Perkins said he was blown away by the EVs driving experience.

Perkins (@iamdavidperkins) even described it as a ‘seamless driving experience’ – which is a pretty glowing review.

The technology and the infotainment system are also why Perkins described the car as a ‘big computer’.

Tesla’s infotainment system and main information are all displayed via a large touchscreen in the center of the car’s front cabin.

The positioning of information, including the speed and range on this center display, isn’t for everyone.

However, it certainly makes sure the Model S interior stands out from the crowd.

The EV manufacturer has cut prices in recent years

Perkins also briefly mentioned the price of the EV, suggesting he felt it was quite expensive.

Tesla’s vehicles are still some of the more expensive EVs on the market.

However, the company has been trying to reduce the burden on consumers.

The Model X, for example, currently costs $84,990 at the time of writing.

That is without the estimated five-year gas savings of $6,500 which could bring the price below $79,000.

While still expensive, the Model X is still cheaper than it was just 2-3 years ago.

Out of all of the company’s vehicles, the most affordable is currently the Model 3.

The Model 3 is available in three forms, including long-range rear-wheel drive, with an EPA-estimated maximum range of up to 363 miles.

Currently, the Model 3 costs $42,490, which puts it on a level playing field with other EVs such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Even with so many other EVs now available, it’s clear Tesla can still satisfy its customers.
