These guys tested every range-topping Tesla Performance vehicle in a drag race, including the Cyberbeast, and the result was interesting.
What’s truly fascinating about the test is that the race saw two winners emerge, one clear loser, and two vehicles in between.
The worst performer here might surprise you.
And how the Cyberbeast fared might also surprise most people.

The guys from the CarWow YouTube channel – with some help from the first Cybertruck owner in the UK – decided to test every Tesla performance vehicle available.
They lined up a Tesla Model S Plaid, Model X Plaid, the Cybertruck Cyberbeast, and both the Model 3 and Model Y Performance.
And when you look at the stats, one thing is clear from the start.
The Plaids and the Cyberbeast are a lot more expensive and a lot more powerful than the Model 3 and Model Y.

Aside from the quarter-mile run, they also tested the cars’ brakes.
There were two clear winners: the Model S Plaid, which also won the brake test, and the Model X Plaid.
They both finished the quarter-mile run ages ahead of the other three vehicles.
Then there was one clear loser, the Model Y Performance. It finished dead last in the drag race and didn’t really shine in the brake test either.
We should point out that some of the vehicles they tested weren’t brand new, which means the battery capacity wasn’t 100 percent, and we should also note that the tarmac was wet.

The Cyberbeast’s performance proved underwhelming, considering what we’ve seen in the past.
But, at the end of the day, the EV truck is simply too heavy, and weight negatively affects everything from the truck’s braking capabilities to its performance.
But perhaps the most intriguing component of the race is that, after all these years, and all these range-topping Tesla models, it’s the OG – the Tesla Model S Plaid – is still king.
