A billionaire from Texas has gone big and unveiled a superyacht that’s actually a floating palace and cost nearly half a billion dollars, with annual running costs per year that would have us weeping.

American billionaire Tilman Fertitta has revealed his new yacht, the $450 million Boardwalk, which has been built at Germany’s Lurssen shipyard, and is a mighty impressive vessel.

It’s one of the largest superyachts in the world, which is impressive, as it seemed that these luxury vessels couldn’t get any bigger.

Not only was it a pricey ship to build, but it will also cost a fortune to keep running.

How big is this floating-palace superyacht?

Arguably, the size is what makes this such an impressive luxury vessel.

It is 117 meters long, roughly 384 feet, and footage and images give us a good idea of that size and length.

Boardwalk has six decks, and it contains all the luxury you would expect from such a large ship.

The superyacht has two helipads, one up front and one positioned higher up.

These can accommodate Feritta’s Airbus helicopter, an H130, as well as one belonging to a guest.

That isn’t all the yacht has to offer, however.

Step inside, and you’ll find a massive swimming pool, spa pool, and even a beach club that opens into the sea.

Yet the luxury does not end there.

The Broadwalk contains plenty of amenities

A bar area is inside the Broadwalk, while the vessel also has a gym and an elevator, as well as tender garages.

The shipyard even went to the lengths of fitting the yacht with underwater lighting.

In terms of the build cost, it was around $450 million to bring this vision into reality.

Yet the bills don’t stop there, as it will cost Fertitta around $40 million a year to run the ship.

Those are truly astronomical amounts of money. But then again, if you are a billionaire, that’s money you can probably afford to spend!

We have covered many impressive yachts here at Supercar Blondie.

This one, however, is one of the most jaw-droppingly incredible we have seen thus far.
