Renault imagined a UFO-like car in the early 1990s with the incredible Reinastella.

The wild concept car looked like a UFO on wheels, and Renault produced it for display at Disneyland Paris as a way to promote one of the venue’s attractions.

It was on display for more than 10 years, and just recently, a car spotter on TikTok saw it being unloaded from a truck.

Even over 30 years after it was revealed, the Reinastella can still take your breath away.

The concept car was unveiled by Renault in 1992.

It was soon installed at the entrance of the Visionarium at Disneyland Paris.

The French manufacturer sponsored the attraction for 10 years.

The car remained there throughout that duration, up until 2002 when it was taken down.

Translated to ‘The Timekeeper’, the attraction was also opened at Tokyo Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom.

The Timekeeper closed at the Magic Kingdom in 2006, with Tokyo closing its version in 2002.

The Disneyland Paris attraction would remain open until September 2004.

While it was designed with the attraction in mind, the Reinastella was also the French manufacturer’s take on the car of the future.

Renault gave the concept an innovative synthetic material.

Renault said it was also propelled by a bio engine, supplied with a fluid named PlasmElf.

That was a reference to the French oil company Elf which has worked with Renault for decades.

Since it was removed from Disneyland, the Reinastella has been seen at various auto shows across Europe.

TikTok user @carspotter_l1mburg, based in the Netherlands, spotted the car being unloaded from its trailer just a few days ago.

The car still looks as incredible as it did in the 1990s, and it’s easy to see why many have compared it to a UFO, like with this concept.

Renault built just two examples of the concept car.

The French manufacturer has retained one of them, with another one currently part of the Race Art team’s collection.
