Electric supercars are no longer futuristic concepts; instead, they are the cutting edge of engineering in 2025.

Manufacturers across Europe, the US, and China are chasing records with battery tech, aerodynamics, and power figures once thought completely impossible.

This year brings some of the most extreme electric and hybrid hypercars ever announced, each aiming to redefine what speed and driving electrically feel like.

From record-breaking EVs to next-generation hybrids, these are the electric supercars to watch this year that are driving the entire field forward.

Electric supercars leading the charge

1. Rimac Nevera R
The Nevera R is a dominant force in electric supercar performance as it shattered 24 world records, including a 0-249-0mph run in 25.79 seconds.

With 2,107 horsepower, a 1.66-second sprint to 60mph, and a 268.2mph top speed, it continues to set the standard for electric hypercars everywhere.

2. YangWang U9 Track Edition
China’s fastest EV has reached 293.54mph, beating some of the most established hypercars in the world, and it has a quad motor setup that kicks out a whopping 2,959 horsepower.

Production is capped at 30 units, making it one of the rarest and most extreme cars of the year, let alone EVs.

3. Pininfarina B95
The B95 is a roofless electric speedster with in-wheel motors and a Rimac-engineered supercharged battery.

It produces 1,877 horsepower and launches from 0-60mph in under two seconds, and only 150 units will be built, combining exclusivity with amazing performance.

4. DEUS Vayanne
Developed with Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering, this amazing hypercar delivers around 2,250 horsepower.

It has a target of a 250mph top speed and a sub-two-second 0-60, and in terms of exclusivity, there will only be 99 units.

5. Tesla Roadster
Tesla’s long-delayed sports car is allegedly returning at some point with a promised sub-two-second 0-60 and more than 600km of range.

If production models match the claims, it could reset expectations for electric supercars at a broader scale, but others are poised to take its place if not.

6. Porsche Mission X
Porsche’s electric halo car is expected to deliver more than 1,700 horsepower.

Designed to be one of the quickest EVs on the market, it reflects the brand’s push toward electric motorsport-inspired engineering.

Hybrid supercars are elevating the category

7. Aston Martin Valhalla
The British luxury brand’s Valhalla is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine and three electric motors for up to 1,065 horsepower.

It blends F1 technology with road car usability, with production capped at just 999 units.

8. Lamborghini Temerario
The replacement for the Huracan, pairing a twin turbo V8 engine with three electric motors for a nice 907 horsepower.

With a 213mph top speed, it marks a major step in Lamborghini’s electrification evolution.

9. McLaren W1
The Mclaren W1 is a lightweight hybrid hypercar producing around 1,256 horsepower from its V8-based system.

Built for track precision, it has a target 217mph top speed and represents McLaren’s next chapter in hybrid performance.
