The Masters has turned airports in the Georgia city of Augusta into private jet parking lots.

Every April, golf fans descend on the city of Augusta to attend the annual event, and this year was no exception.

The tournament has become so popular that Daniel Field Airport has built a tower that is used just once a year, to help accommodate all the private aircraft flying in and out of the city.

Footage shared online shows dozens of private jets neatly lined up in a row, and the amount of wealth is hard to fathom.

Pro golfers arrive in style to the annual tournament

Private jet ownership hit record highs during the Covid-19 pandemic, and while sales are down from their peak in 2022, the luxury travel market is still big business.

Similarly, the private jet rental market is huge.

According to The Business Research Company the global market for private jet rental services will grow from $21.24 billion in 2024 to $24.28 billion in 2025.

And while most of us can only dream of one day flying in a luxe private aircraft, for the world’s top golfers – and their well-heeled fans – it’s the go-to way to travel.

Taking a quick look around any airport in the Augusta area during the Masters would tell you that.

In a clip shared on Instagram, a neat row of private jets can be seen parked up at Augusta Regional Airport.

Among those who turned up in style on their own private plane was Will Zalatoris, who was recently announced as brand ambassador for Magellan Jets.

He joins fellow pro-golfer Dustin Johnson who has been a Magellan Jets brand ambassador for some time now.

It’s not just the pros who take a private jet to the Masters

It’s not just the pros who are turning up in private jets, many of those attending the event are also making use of luxury aircraft.

The event has been dubbed ‘corporate Woodstock’ by some as it’s seen as a place to schmooze with clients and build working relationships.

And many of these corporate high-fliers aren’t the type to simply hop onto a budget plane to get where they need to be.

Private aviation firm Flexjet, which operates out of several Augusta airports, including Daniel Field, told Golfweek that demand rises 30 percent during the Masters.

The company told the publication that flying private offers a VIP experience and is a great timesaver.

And if you’ve got the money, what’s not to love?
