If you love the sound of roaring cars, then this Corvette Z06 V8 engine will definitely be something that you will be interested in.

The premium sports car pushes out a whopping 670 horsepower from its naturally aspirated V8.

It’s a true race car with one of the most powerful V8 engines, produced by Chevrolet.

Corvette Z06

Chevrolet spent two years developing the groundbreaking V8 engine for the Corvette Z06.

However, the automaker has also recently changed it from a 6.2-litre unit to a brand-new 5.5-litre V8.

The 5.5-litre V8 also comes with a flat-plane crank that revs up to 8,600rpm.

And yes, it also produces 670hp and 460lb-ft of torque.

That’s a lot of power for a naturally aspirated V8 in a production car.

Supercar Blondie gets her hands on the Z06

In this incredible video, Alex – Supercar Blondie herself – also got her hands on the Chevrolet‬ Corvette Z06.

By the way – this race car is seriously loud.

Just starting up the car makes the whole body vibrate from the reverberation of the V8 engine.

It was also the first time that Chevrolet was offering a performance-based Corvette with optional luxury options.

So the car not only comes with carbon fiber rims but also a nicely-stitched wrap-around leather interior.

If you think this car is nice, you haven’t met its big brother, the new Chevrolet‬ Corvette ZR1.

Think of the ZR1 as the most extreme version of the iconic sports car, with several substantial upgrades over the current Corvette Z06.

However, the Z06 is still capable of reaching a 0-60mph speed in just 2.7 seconds.

For the best performance, you will still need to get the Z07 performance package, but it is worth it to feel the true power of this supercar.
